Sid & Lola is a small independent natural pet shop based in Alton, Hampshire.
My qualifications include:
- Level 3 diploma in Canine Health & Nutrition.
- Level 3 diploma in Small Animal Hydrotherapy.
- BHS (British Horse Society) stage 3
I have over 25 years’ experience working with animals in various roles, and have loved every one of them.
After leaving school I became a working pupil at a busy equine centre and gained my BHS stage 3 qualification. I LOVED horses all through my childhood.
In 2010/2011 I became a small animal Hydrotherapist and spent 5 years working at the incredible ‘Greyfriars Veterinary Rehabilitation & Hydrotherapy center’ swimming dogs and helping to rehabilitate following injury or surgery.
I developed a passion for canine nutrition around 5 years ago during the time I spent running a small, but busy, pet shop.
The more I learnt about nutrition and the benefits of a fresh healthy diet, the more sense it made to me.
Food is medicine!
I gained my level 3 diploma in Canine Nutrition and I started to see the change in customers pets’ health with a simple change in diet, this excited me and fueled my love of healing dogs. Feeding my own pets changed, and opening a small natural shop has given me the opportunity to help others feed their pets a species appropriate diet 😊
